Media/Public Relations
If you have a newsworthy story of interest connecting to the community, NAM can circulate the press release and/or featured article to national and regional media through its online publication, Native America Today, a member of the Associated Press.
Heritage Month Workforce Awareness
During Heritage Month in November, we can refer professional storytellers, traditional dancers and speakers to visit your facility. The purpose of presentations is to foster awareness, diminish stereotypical images, tackle unconscious bias, and bridge cultural gaps.
Compliance Support
NAM’s governmental team convened with the leadership of the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP), with positive results. Soon thereafter, through the request of Direct Employers, NAM co-sponsored and hosted OFCCP’s first and only webcast, geared to support federal contractors in their recruitment efforts of Native Americans.
NAM has traditionally honored requests from subscribers to provide a “Letter of Participation”, confirming their interface with the community.
Special Projects
Native American Media has served as a liaison for parties interested in structuring business enterprises and economic development programs on federal reservations, consulted on issues of importance to the community (including environmental), assisted in creating employee resource groups (ERG’s), and collaborated with employers in preparing Native American/Indigenous/Aboriginal toolkits for workforce distribution.
We have over 46 years of experience working in and around Indian Country and are qualified to tackle almost any task.
